About me...

Hi!

My name is Ines and I am the writer of this blog. I am Spanish, so obviously my English is not perfect. I have been living in Seoul, South Korea, for the last five years and, probably, I will stay for a few more.
I studied my BA of Mass Media (or Audiovisual Communication as we call it in Spain) in Malaga University. During that time I developed my interest in S. Korea. I got to know about the country and its cinema. In order to provide an answer to my growing curiosity about that culture which I didn't know much about, I decided to go to S. Korea as an exchange student for a period of six months. That was in 2010. I felt in love with the country and in 2011 I came back to study a MA in Korean Studies. After a lot of effort and nights of few sleep, I manage to finish my thesis and graduate. Obviously, the thesis was about Korean films, one of my passions.
My other passion is literature, which is also a central part in my career. After my master, I got a two-year course degree on Korean literature translation by the KLTI (Korean Literature Translation Institute) and currently I am a freelance translator. I translate Korean into Spanish (and vice versa). I also translate into English (although not for official purpose).
I am open minded, active, outgoing and I like to meet new people and work in a multicultural environment. My interest are mainly cinema, literature and any sort of cultural contents. I love to learn and research about new cultures and societies. (with special interest in Korea, of course!) I enjoy watching movies and spending a nice evening in a coffee shop just reading, writing or translating.

That was a brief and condense summary of myself and my life! Keep reading and I will update the information or add some more!
